pablo honey.....come to florida

maybe i should explain the title.....my oldest brother jt, me, my mom and some of jts friends traveled down to florida to see one of the world cup games back in 94...the whole way down we listened to adam sandler cd's and the jerky boys (prank phone calls) and that is one of the lines that has stuck with us...even my mom says it! it was even better when i had the fashion diva and little miss calling jt to say it.

so.....since we were all going to be in the same place this summer we decided to make the most of it and took a whole family trip down to florida. my parents got a really good deal on a condo in daytona and we all went along. josh and i actually figured out we were coming after part of the trip had been planned so we ended up renting a hotel room right next store so we didnt have to sleep on the floor of the condo :) it was a super nice condo and right on the beach. the water was actually a whole lot clearer than i ever remember it being when i was little. but we made great use of the beach and the ocean. we all had a great time swimming and body surfing. we even got to see a lot of manta-rays playing in the water right around us.

the world cup actually started while we were there too, and being that my family is full of soccer fanatics, we swam, watched soccer, swam some more, watched more soccer. yep, great vacation if you ask me. plus! josh and i picked a really good time to be on the east coast....all of those 9:30am games....yeah, they started at 3:30am hawaii time! and once you know the score of a game, its hard to watch it on dvr.

we all had a great time. i especially loved getting to go to the lighthouse and climbing it :) and being able to just hang out and spend time with the whole family. next stop.....disney!!!!!
