before we ever even made it 30 minutes into our drive we had to stop for a potty break. so amy i decide to keep track of how many times we have to stop. so we took picture to document them :) then it a little less than 2 hours we had to stop again....the kids played across grandma in the back, amy and i read, and josh drove.
we stopped in south pittsburg, tn just north of chattanooga to have lunch....it took us about an hour and a half longer than it normally does. we ate, went potty yet again, and then it was back on the road. we actually made it all the way to bowling green before we had to stop again. thats when some more fun started....it started to pour, and i mean pour. we couldnt see more than 5 feet in front of us. so we stopped at the gas station and had to walk through a river in the parking lot (literally) to make it into the store and then the power went out on us.....twice.....the kids didnt find the power outage, thunder, and lightning quite as exciting as i did.
once the storm finished blowing over we made it to elizabeth town to drop of little man, which was huge for me. i no longer had to sit in the crack in the front seat. after 8 hour and a half hours of riding on the front seat crack, but butt was done....who am i kidding, after the first hour my butt was done. we then made it the rest of the way to louisville to amy's house, got to see the dogs, and the new camper, and then headed to buffalo wild wings for some awesome wings.
then it was on to mamaw's house! the total trip took us 13 hours....yes 13 hours. but i was so excited to be in ky!
