exciting news

3. the all day hang-over feeling..... for 4 weeks straight....when i havent had anything to drink

5. my loose shorts are not quite so loose anymore
6. those not quite so loose shorts are a week later actually tight.
7. the "beer" belly that has already started.
8. crying at the silliest things-re: outcast's hey ya song (guess it reminded me of home?????)

10. even though i have seen homeward bound 100 times- crying when the animals make it back to their owners


well we in the nix household have some exciting news........we will be adding another nix in march of 2011! little miss is quite excited and has already started announcing it to ever one :) which is exactly the reason we didnt actually tell her until just this week, just in time to tell the grandparents the exciting news. we actually let her tell them :) the baby will be due march 10th and i am officially 12 weeks along! let the fun begin!

tonya's b-day!!!

so we decided to surprise tonya with a girls night out for her birthday and what a great night it was! ann told her we had some surprises in store for her and to be ready by 3 when her chariot would arrive (me :) haha). i picked her and k up and took them back to my house so that josh could keep up with k and little miss while we went out :) and then we picked up ann and renee and we were off!

first it was to get...pedicures! it had been too long for most of us and we were all very excited for the opportunity to get one! we all picked out our colors and sat back and relaxed...well as much as we could with those crazy massage chairs almost knocking us out of our chairs (or at least mine did---the power that some of those things have!) with newly pretty feet it was off to our next destination....dixie grill!!!




dixie grill is by far my favorite place to eat (and of course the birthday girl is pretty fond of it too! :) ) i said i would be the dd, so they got screaming mai tai's and i got my wonderful awesome (same size glass-ginormous) of sweet tea!! we had some laughs loved our food, and then decided the b-day girl needed to do a shot. so ann took one for the team and had one with her :) that really got our night going. our waiter was good and kept making us laugh...not that we needed much help. it was so much fun hanging out with the girls laughing and talking that we decided to skip the movie we had planned on seeing and just stayed there. they ordered another shot, but that one didnt go so well....but it did make for some great video (if tonya didnt erase it!), great laughs and some great memories! after a few beers and cotton candy cosmo we decided to call it a night and head back to my house for some cake!!!








tonya had already sent me her requirements for the cake and i played with :) little miss and k loved it, although little miss was already asleep when we got home :)

schools starting!

well school started back this week and i am super excited. my teacher/chef seems really cool and laid back and we are going to learn a lot in this 12 weeks. i was really nervous about going into my first lab class. i didnt even know how to properly tie the neckerchief that we had to wear, luckily i have a lot of nice people in my class and they helped me figure it out before class started. :) we already started playing with stuff and got to make a gluten ball this week. it was pretty gross, but it was just so that we could see the gluten and how it creates strands and stuff, a few people in class tried it, but not for me :)

nap time

with little miss, your just never sure that she is going to be where she is supposed to be when it comes time for nap. she normally stays in her bed, but some days she does like to play. well today was one of those days. guess she decided she really wanted to sleep on the floor in her "sleeping bag". she does have a real sleeping bag, and she does get to use it every now and then. but normally for naps. so when we went up to check on her, this is what we found :) she never fails to make us laugh!

bounce houses!

what kid doesnt love playing in a bounce house? how about playing in 5 of them? we have a cool little place at the mall that is nothing but bounce houses for the kids, and man do they love it! and its great exerscise for them! they can run around going from bounce house to bounce house as much as the like. im going to let the pictures speak for themselves. we went with a few friends and they had so much fun!

july

wow. july flew past! not really a whole lot really going on, just hanging out with friends, living in hawaii, and working. the days are busy and the night not long enough. just your normal day to day stuff.

we did get to see the black pearl out at ko'olina one day we were out there. and we have a little nest with some baby birds in one of our planters, its been cool to watch them hatch and grow into birds :)





we went to see the dinosaurs at the mall with a few times to ride the "dinosaur train" the first time with us, and then a few times with friends....the kids love it!







we even dog sat for a few weeks. little miss was pretty excited. alexi.....maybe not so much, but there were a few times alexi was really happy to have boomer (boomsey as josh likes to call him) around.....like when he got drug into little misses house instead of her :) poor boomer-if little miss can pull alexi into her house....boomer didnt stand a chance :)





and some exciting birthdays! my cousin/sister(we are just more like sisters than cousins) turned 30!!!! happy birthday amy-even though you couldnt drink to celebrate since your knocked up :)

and josh's birthday! (for 2 days they are they same age! haha!) glad to be able to share another birthday with you! and many more to come!
