hiking

for the past two weekends we have take a family hike to two different places. its been nice family time, and great exercise. little miss has her favorite hiking outfit that she picked out herself....as you will be able to tell from the pictures :)

both trails were pretty wet, and a little slippery but still a lot of fun. in the places that had lots of roots little miss had to hold someones hand because she said the places were "trippy" and if you know my child, you know she falls and trips over her own feet all the time.

so i will let the pictures do the talking for the trails. little miss even took a few pictures of us :)

forth of july

july 4th is always a favorite holiday for me. i love fireworks and of course celebrating our country. this time last year we had our wonderful friends kelli and michael visiting and went to lanikai beach to watch the kailua fireworks.

so this year we it was just the 3 of us and we decided to do something a little different. and what better place to celebrate the 4th than at pearl harbor navy base. we met up with some friends earlier in evening, but they left before the fireworks and we went in search of bathrooms and icecream. we found both and another cozy spot on the grass to sit and watch the fireworks.

the fireworks were great and they were even cooler coming over the tops of the navy ships. it was a great family night and beautiful fireworks.
